About the event
Bryon Cherry (he/him) is a poet and musician. His work has been featured in Return to the Gathering Place of the Waters Anthology (Vegetarian Alcoholic Press) as well as in South Florida Poetry Journal. In 2021 he was named an emerging poet in Milwaukee, WI by Saint John’s on the Lake. His new chapbook, “death moan”, is currently out on Willow Books. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, he is of and shaped by his evolving home city. He is guided by what he considers to be magical forces—listening and love. Find him on Instagram: @blackholelove
Séamus Isaac Fey (he/they) is a Trans writer living in LA. Currently, he is the poetry editor at Hooligan Magazine, and co creative director at Rock Pocket Productions. His debut poetry collection, decompose, is out with Not a Cult Media. His work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Poet Lore, The Offing, Sonora Review, and others. Ananda Lima is a poet, translator, and fiction writer, author of Craft: Stories I Wrote for the Devil (Tor Books, 2024), and Mother/land (Black Lawrence Press, 2021, winner of the Hudson Prize). Her work has appeared in four chapbooks, including Amblyopia (Bull City Press), as well as publications such as Poets & Writers, The American Poetry Review, Poets.org, Kenyon Review, Gulf Coast, and elsewhere. Her voice has been praised as “singular and wise” by Cathy Park Hong. Craft, her fiction debut, has received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal, which described it as “one of the most original and unforgettable reads of the year.” Originally from Brazil, she lives in Chicago. Chelsea Tadeyeske lives in Milwaukee, WI where she co-edits pitymilk press and curates poetry readings in her apartment, The Bell Tower. She is the author of several chapbooks including If You Bend It Backwards Nothing Really Happens (Rabbit Catastrophe Press, 2017), Princess Diana (Bathmatics, 2019), and The Floor of a Cage Floating Above the Floor of a House (Bathmatics, 2020). In the spring of 2022, she completed a month-long artist residency at Gamlí Skolí on Hrísey Island, Iceland, where she finished two poetry projects, What If Loving You Wasn’t About Me?
